Supporting poverty solutions and self-reliance worldwide

Our mission is to foster and support those people and organizations who are creating sustainable solutions to poverty, empowering people to become self-reliant. We know that poverty will be eliminated through education, innovation and collaboration. We spotlight the people around the world who are fighting poverty, not through charity, but by helping people help themselves. We present their stories to a wider audience through our popular blog, thriving social media presence, and monthly newsletter – and soon, our Television News/Talk show, World Changers. Every day, our team works tirelessly to uncover solution-driven stories, reviewing hundreds of media sources to find those subjects both compelling and worthy of support.

The World Changers Television Show

In early 2014, Billions Rising decided to harness the wider reach of television for our mission, and we are currently in production for a half hour news/talk show. “World Changers” will have all of the production values, pacing and viewer engagement of the best mainstream shows, with a twist: all of the features and guests will revolve around positive stories of tackling poverty. Our co-hosts are Billions Rising Founder Anita Casalina and 10-year NFL veteran and ESPN Analyst Marcellus Wiley, and the show will include calls to action for viewers to get involved and support our carefully vetted causes.

Educate – Engage – Empower

People are starved for good news today. They need to feel that their contributions can make a difference, and that there is hope for a better, more sustainable tomorrow. We speak to this audience, providing them with inspiring stories of the changing world around them.
